Our program is now over, and we are left with memories, experiences, and what we hope is a much more traveled, experienced, mature (and certainly more fluent!) group of students. Many thanks to those who have helped make this "the time of our lives", as one student recently put it to me in an email: NIU Study Abroad, the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures; Español en Toledo; the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and of course, our great students. We look forward to 2012, when NIU once again hits the streets of Toledo and beyond...

FIESTA DE DESPEDIDA
We have since returned safely to the US, but I have yet to publish my final posts about the final days of our program. The ESTO staff organized a very nice farewell party for the various student groups studying Spanish in Toledo this summer, and thankfully a good number of our students volunteered to participate in the festivities. Here we have Claire singing, Jeni and Chris rapping, and many other students doing what seems to be a well-coordinated and popular dance...
